Bastien Declercq
Chief Executive Officer
Bastien Declercq began his trading career at Morgan Stanley before leading oil trading at UBS. He founded CSC Commodities in 2013, joining Marex in 2019. As CEO of CSC and Head of Environmental at Marex, he’s expanded the business into a leading multi-asset trading firm across energy, freight, and environmental markets.
Nathaniel Cockburn
Head of Freight Trading
Nathaniel Cockburn joined CSC in 2017 and leads the global freight trading desk across London and Dubai. With 20+ years in physical and financial freight at firms including Cargill, Citigroup, and GFI, he’s built CSC’s freight business into a core pillar of its global derivatives offering.
Richard Erny
Head of Trading
Richard Erny joined CSC in 2015 to develop its refined products trading business. Starting as lead Residual Fuel Oil trader, he now heads CSC’s trading operations. With prior roles at Deutsche Bank, he brings deep expertise in proprietary trading and market making across global energy markets.
Mike Monro
Head of Light Ends Trading
Mike Monro began his trading career at Tibra before moving into oil derivatives at Mandara in 2015. Joining CSC in 2020, he built and now leads the Light Ends desk, which has grown into one of the most active market-makers in global refined products trading by volume.
Matthew Belafonte
Head of Operations
Matthew Belafonte has progressed from assistant to Head of Operations over seven years. Leading teams in London, Amsterdam, and Dubai, he supports all CSC trading desks and has been key in scaling operations, ensuring efficiency and consistency across the firm’s growing global business.
Quentin Mulot
Head of Environmental Sales Trading
Quentin Mulot joined CSC Commodities in 2022 as Head of Environmental Sales Trading. With 15+ years in energy and environmental markets, he leads a global team, leveraging experience from top firms to drive innovation in physical products, sustainability solutions, and trading strategy.
Damien King
Head of Energy Sales Trading
Damien King joined CSC in 2015 to build the energy desk after a decade in commodities, where he launched benchmark fuel oil contracts trading millions of tonnes annually. Now co-leading energy derivatives, he drives strategy, trading, and client relationships across global markets.
Dominic Somerset
Head of Energy Sales
Dominic Somerset joined CSC in 2014 and helped build the energy sales desk from the ground up. Now co-head of energy trading, he has grown the client base from under five to hundreds globally, leading a high-volume, flow-driven business focused on commercial strategy and expansion.
